Brick Paver / Interlocking Brick Cleaning & Sealing
Trillium Diversified uses the most advanced products and equipment available to restore your brick pavers to "like new" condition.
ONLY Premium Quality Private label Trillium Products. We never use lower grade materials to cut cost. Lower grade product typically fails pre-maturely, turns white or peels. Read more about Trillium vs. 'the other guys.'
Once your interlocking brick pavers have been cleaned, we return the following day to sweep sand into all paver joints, in most cases, we typically use a high grade polymeric joint stabilizing sand. We then proceed to plate compact and activate the binder. The following day we will seal your brick pavers with Techni-Seal's Thermoplastic micro porous acrylic sealant to enhance the beauty of your pavers. If you desire a sealer which does not change the appearance of the brick we can apply a natural finish Siloxane to waterproof the surface without any visible change in appearance or color.

When unqualified contractors and residents clean & seal their brick pavers with their own the sealant, your pavers may become blushed and blotchy. This typically happens with improper cleaning, the lack of proper equipment used as well as the lack of knowledge and use of the chemicals being applied. These situations can be very expensive to correct.

Why maintain your interlocking brick pavers and stamped concrete?
Over time all surfaces take a beating from the elements. Rain, wind, ultraviolet light and freeze-thaw cycles and deicing materials all combine in a constant attack on your investment. In the short term this may go unnoticed, however if left unprotected, over time, irreversible and costly damage may occur.
The pavers pictured here are roughly ten years old, the photo on the left was a brick which has been cleaned but was exposed to the elements, please note the loss of color as well as the aggregate which has become exposed over time.
The other brick which was at the same location was covered by and protected by a porch overhang, observe the smooth tecture and lack of any exposed aggregates. Weather it be concrete or clay brick. Stamped, colored, broom finish or exposed aggregate concrete. It is imperative that in order to protect your investment over the long term a regular maintenance program consisting of an annual (once per year) professional cleaning to remove ground in dirt and organic stains as well as regular application of a sealer once every second or third season is stronly recommended. Depending on the type of surface as well as the desired look, several different sealers may be applied. It is critical however that the homeowner be consistent with the type of sealer used, not all sealers are compatible with each other. All sealers we apply are commercial grade. Techni-Seal products are the only sealers recognized by all major paver manufacturers. This is important because there are many low grade, low quality sealers available on the market which prematurely break down, discolor or delaminate. The main reason that people seal their pavers and stamped concrete is for aesthetics... creating an enhanced "wet" look, which creates a darkeningeffect and satin to semi-gloss shine. The acrylic in the sealer enhances the natural color tones and adds a semi-gloss shine. The gloss level is dependent on the solid content of the acrylic, porosity of the substrate, and how many previous coats have been applied. Typically only two coats of our high quality sealer is needed. If a natural look is desired then we can apply a natural look sealer which will protect, without changing the color of the surface to which it is applied. Aesthetics aside, sealing is essential to the long term durability of the product.
Another big problem is the sanded joints between the paver bricks themselves. Over a number of years, contaminates and debris build up in the joint. Weeds, grass and moss begin to grow as seen in these pictures.
In order to address this problem we are able to clean out all the joints between the brick and install a polymeric sand. This sand will greatly reduce and in most cases completely eliminate this problem. How it works is that the sand actually has a binder mixed into it and after our trained technician's install and activate the product it hardens up the joint, thus preventing not only weed and vegetation growth, but also washout as well as sand being tracked into your home or swimming pool.
